Specialty Definition: Dandy

(From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia)

Dandy is a British children's comic book which was first issued in 1937. There have been several long-running strips over the years. The longest running strip in the comic as of 2001 is Desperate Dan which first appeared in 1937.

A dandy is another word for a fop, a stock character and member of a fashion movement from the eighteenth and nineteenth century.

Dandy may also describe a mood, as in "I'm feeling just dandy today!". The word "peachy" might also be used instead as well, either one is considered colloquial.
