DMCRA

Specialty Definition: DMCRA

(From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia)

The Digital Media Consumers' Rights Act is a direct challenge to portions of the DMCA, and would intesify FTC efforts to mandate proper labeling for copy-protected CDs to ensure consumer protection from deceptive labeling practices. It would also allow manufacturers to innovate in hardware designs to allow consumers to treat CDs as they have historically been able to treat CDs.
