Da Qiao and her sister Xia Qiao were known as the two great beauties of the world.

She married Sun Ce, of Kingdom of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period in China. They had 2 children, Sun Shao and Lady Sun. Lady Sun married Lu Yi.

Da Qiao's sister ended up marrying Zhou Yu, Sun Ce's sworn brother and best friend.
