D'mt is the Arabic name for a kingdom on the northern Ethiopian plateau that existed from around 800 BC until it was united in the Aksum kingdom around the birth of Jesus Christ.The capital is thought to have been Yeha. It developed irrigation shcemes, used plows, grew millet, and made iron tools and weapons.
