Byron Township is a township located in Cass County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 118.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 93.0 km² (35.9 mi²). 92.5 km² (35.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.50% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 118 people, 48 households, and 33 families residing in the township. The population density is 1.3/km² (3.3/mi²). There are 59 housing units at an average density of 0.6/km² (1.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 48 households out of which 25.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.6% are married couples living together, 4.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.2% are non-families. 27.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.46 and the average family size is 3.03.
