The A77 is a major road in Scotland, running from Glasgow south west to Portpatrick, bypassing Kilmarnock, Prestwick, Ayr, then running via Maybole, Girvan, Cairnryan and Stranraer. The section running through the Glasgow suburbs is paralleled by the M77 motorway.
