Buckeye is a town located in Maricopa County, Arizona. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 6,537.

Geography


Buckeye is located at 33°26'12" North, 112°35'36" West (33.436561, -112.593253)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 377.5 km² (145.8 mi²). 377.5 km² (145.8 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics


As of the census2 of 2000, there are 6,537 people, 2,158 households, and 1,624 families residing in the town. The population density is 17.3/km² (44.8/mi²). There are 2,344 housing units at an average density of 6.2/km² (16.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 72.54% White, 3.37% Black or African American, 1.71% Native American, 0.44% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 19.34% from other races, and 2.52% from two or more races. 36.65% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 2,158 households out of which 42.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.7% are married couples living together, 15.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.7% are non-families. 20.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.03 and the average family size is 3.47. In the town the population is spread out with 33.8% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 19.3% from 45 to 64, and 8.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 30 years. For every 100 females there are 101.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 97.7 males. The median income for a household in the town is $35,383, and the median income for a family is $39,194. Males have a median income of $32,357 versus $24,901 for females. The per capita income for the town is $15,627. 18.8% of the population and 16.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 27.6% are under the age of 18 and 13.3% are 65 or older.

Buckeye is a city located in Hardin County, Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 110.

Buckeye is located at 42°25'6" North, 93°22'33" West (42.418274, -93.375870)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²). 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics


As of the census of 2000, there are 110 people, 45 households, and 27 families residing in the city. The population density is 42.5/km² (109.6/mi²). There are 50 housing units at an average density of 19.3/km² (49.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 45 households out of which 31.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.6% are married couples living together, 2.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.0% are non-families. 35.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 3.33. In the city the population is spread out with 25.5% under the age of 18, 11.8% from 18 to 24, 30.0% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 139.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 141.2 males. The median income for a household in the city is $24,750, and the median income for a family is $32,500. Males have a median income of $22,375 versus $22,917 for females. The per capita income for the city is $16,880. 5.3% of the population and 7.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 0.0% are under the age of 18 and 23.8% are 65 or older.
